(Indie/folk is probably a reasonably accurate description of the uses I tend to put the acoustic to.)ĮDIT: The Ample Sound guitars and basses sound more immediate to me, like, something to do with the incidental sounds and subtle scrapes etc (although it may also be to do with how they're miked, I don't know enough technically to explain it). I love Orange Tree's electric guitars but personally didn't get on with the sound of their acoustic "Songwriter" guitar. Their AGM acoustic (which has a free version AGML to give you an idea of how it sounds) is my preferred acoustic.
